- PROX_DETECTTM is an ideal solution for Open Pit mine owners for reliable and accurate obstacles detection while the dumper is in motion or in pre-start condition. The system utilizes advanced PS40D mm-wave radar sensors to detect static and moving obstacles in the pathway of the dumper from sufficient distance away – providing operators essential reaction time to avoid an impending collision scenario.
- At 30 kmph the dumper moves 8.33 m/s and at 40 kmph it travels over 11 m/s – having adaptive detection range (30-35 meters) is essential to cover for human reaction time.
- Also, minimizing operator inconvenience is another salient feature – this system generates audio alert for a predefined time-period to draw the attention of the operator and automatically ceases the beeping sound after timelapse. The entire alert events are logged in the system with time & location information. Corresponding map-based analytics software is also available (optional) for accurate post-event investigation.
